National Economics University, Vietnam (November 8th, 2019) — Another milestone has been marked successful as Silversea Media Group has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Silversea Media Vietnam, one of the family members of the group, and Vietnam Research Institute for Fine Art Application Products of Craft Village.

Both sides agree to cooperate in implementing immersive media solutions (3D/4D/VR/AR) for the digital transformation of private museums and fine arts and craft village products.

Digital transformation has been a recent hot topic that affected so many industries, including the art & craft industry. Conversations around gearing up for industrial revolution 4.0 has helped accelerate the needs of digital innovation to boost art and craft businesses to be competitive in the modern age.

Strategic Collaboration for Revolutionizing the Art and Craft Industry in Vietnam

The Vietnam Association of Craft Villages cooperated with the Vietnam Research Institute for Art Application Products of Craft Village held a seminar with the subject “Digital transformation of private museums and fine arts application for craft village production in industry 4.0”.

The seminar announced the decision to establish the Vietnam Research Institute for Art Application Products of Craft Village. Moreover, it was also announced the decision to appoint Director Mr. Dang Cong Ngoan, along with 04 Deputy Directors.

In the speech, Mr. Luu Duy Dan, President of the Vietnam Craft Villages Association, emphasized the need for innovation and development of craft villages in the era of technology 4.0. More than 5,000 craft villages across the country have contributed to creating jobs to generate a stable income for millions of workers in rural areas, contributing to poverty reduction, and connecting the community of residents in villages. Occupation contributes significantly to socio-economic development. However, craft villages are still limited. Important aspects that need to be improved include; finding consumer markets, technology transfer, product design improvement, human resource training, trademark registration, and product design.

Mr. Luu Duy Dan invited Mr. Shawn Xu to present the solution which Silversea Media can bring to Vietnam’s craft village. Mr. Shawn highlighted the trend in 3D / VR world. He outlined some specific measures, which include technologies that can be applied immediately to the villages in Vietnam, such as SilVRcraft 4D/VR Virtual Tour; 3D Scanning & Modeling; Sketch3D Model Presentation; Digital Twin Virtual Exhibition Hall; AR/VR Immersive Experience / Web. Participants were very interested in these new solutions and were keen to ask many questions to learn more.

Silversea Media attracted significant attention and curiosity from the audiences at the seminar. The association has agreed on a more solid collaboration with Silversea Media Vietnam to support and assist the possible future implementation of immersive media solution applications to help the business grow and ready for industry 4.0.

At the end of the seminar, in the witness of the Vietnam Association of Craft Villages, the MoU was signed by two parties: Vietnam Research Institute for Art Application Products of Craft Village and Silversea Media Vietnam. Both parties are committed to bringing the technology to the members of the association through collaborations.
